Solution:

This vehicle provided a solution for handling extremely tall and heavy cylinder shape centrifuges safety and efficiently throughout the manufacturing facility.

Product Highlights:

This truck was designed to haul six 45 foot tall gas centrifuges used for uranium enrichment. Each centrifuge weighs 10,000 lbs, for a total capacity of 60,000 lbs. The centrifuges are loaded by overhead crane and secured into place by hydraulically actuated clamps.

The truck is equipped with two separate operator compartments so it can be driven from either end. There are four planetary drives that allows for precise steering and maneuverability allowing the large foot print of the vehicle to maneuver with ease through the facility.

Other special features include leveling jacks which lift the truck off the ground for stability while loading allowing four point contacts for increased safety. Also included are multiple clamp control stations to allow the operator optimal visibility during the loading/unloading process.
