RICO Time Line
1984 BPR/RICO Equipment, Inc. is formally incorporated in the State of Ohio and opens manufacturing facility in Medina, Ohio.
1988 The manufacturing assets of MJD Equipment were purchased.
1989 RICO expands its manufacturing capabilities in the Medina facility.
1991 RICO enters the EX-market and begins production of a complete line of explosion proof equipment.
1993 RICO purchases additional industrial property and opens a new parts distribution warehouse adjacent to the manufacturing facility.
1994 RICO targets military business and wins a multiyear contract to manufacture specialized shipboard pallet trucks for the US Navy.
1998 RICO completes a necessary expansion at the Medina, Ohio facility to keep pace with customer demand for large capacity equipment.
1999 RICO formally announces intentions to design and build high capacity AGV's.
2001 RICO completes the design and manufacture of one of the worlds heaviest AGV's. This 250,000 lbs unit was delivered to a large US Aluminum rolling mill.
2002 RICO acquires Series Five Equipment, Inc., a manufacture of custom material handling equipment.
2002 RICO's first Pegasus high capacity electric counterbalanced truck rolls off the assembly line.
2003 RICO acquires the assets of CWF Equipment, Inc.
2004 RICO acquires prime industrial property adjacent to the Medina facility in preparation for future plant expansion.
2004 RICO's first high capacity IC counterbalanced truck comes rolls off the assembly line.
